Diya Vinodh (Vocal)
Diya Vinodh is a junior at Mission San Jose High school, Fremont.She has been learning Carnatic vocals from Smt. Kasthuri Shivakumar for the past 9 years. She has won prizes in multiple vocal competitions in the Bay Area. Aside from singing, Diya is also a competitive dancer.
Avanija Vangala (Violin)
Avanija is a 10th grader at Stratford Preparatory School. She has been learning Carnatic Violin from Kalaimamani Padma Shankar (Student of Sri Lalgudi G Jayaraman). She has won prizes in multiple competitions and regularly performs solos and accompaniment concerts around the Bay Area. She regularly supports many Bay Area schools on violin.
Anirudh Ramakrishnan (Mridangam)
Anirudh Ramakrishnan is a senior at Foothill High School, Pleasanton. He has been learning mridangam from Shri. Gopi Lakshminarayanan for the past 7 years. He also learns carnatic vocal from Smt. Kasthuri Shivakumar of IAIM. In his free time, Anirudh likes to read books, play chess, bike, and participate in cross-country events.
Smt. K Subiksha (Vocal)
Smt. K Subhiksha has had her musical training under Smt. Lalitha Sivakumar since the age of 13 and her music reflects the D.K. Pattammal bani with clear diction and perfect sruthi alignment. Subiksha has won various awards and prizes including the best vocalist award from Sri Parthasarathy swami sabha. She is also a recipient of the Bharat Kalachar scholarship and is a graded artist of the All India Radio. Subiksha has been performing widely all over India as well as abroad. A chemical engineer by profession, Subiksha is currently pursuing music as her full time career. SaReGaMa has released an audio CD titled Thulasidala with 6 songs by Subiksha.
Her students have been selected for Sangeeth Samraat 2015 finals @ Delaware for Pancharatnam recital and the prestigious Dronacharya award conferred to her.
Aparna Thyagarajan (Violin)
Aparna Thyagarajan is a disciple of Vidwan Delhi Sri P. SunderRajan, and has been under the tutelage of her guru for 15 years. Aparna had her initial training from her Mother Smt. Rama Thyagarajan. Aparna regularly accompanies during Chennai December Music Season since 2016 in leading music sabhas of Chennai. Aparna has accompanied in the Prestigious Music Academy for Spirit of Youth Concert series in 2022 and in the HCL concert series 2023 of the Academy.. Aparna has performed numerous solos throughout the US and provided violin accompaniment to many Bay area Musicians and visiting artists from India. Aparna has had the privilege of accompanying her guru, Vidwan Delhi Sri P. SunderRajan, in multiple concerts as violin support. Aparna regularly gives a Violin duet with her brother Vignesh Thyagarajan. Aparna had her solo violin arangetram in the year of 2019 accompanied by Vidwan Neyveli Sri R. Narayanan on the mridangam and Vidwan Adambakkam Sri K. Sankar on the ghatam.
Vignesh Venkataraman (Mridangam)
Vignesh Venkataraman is a mridangam artist hailing from Umayalpuram Sri K. Sivaraman’s school of music. Vignesh was initiated into playing mridangam by Sri Anand Iyer, also from the same school. Over a period of 5 years, Vignesh traveled to India every summer to undergo advanced training under the tutelage of Umayalpuram Sri K. Sivaraman. Vignesh has accompanied various artists, including many senior musicians, in numerous concerts all over the world. He won the Best Mridangist award at the Spirit of Youth festival held by the Madras Music Academy in 2013. Vignesh is also learning vocal Carnatic music from Smt. Meena Kothandaraman, and more recently from violinist Sri R. K. Shriramkumar. He holds multiple degrees from Stanford University and leads the engineering team at a healthcare startup in the San Francisco Bay Area.
