Swathi Ramprasad (Vocal)

Swathi Ramprasad is a freshman at Presentation High School. She learn Carnatic Vocal from Mrs. Padmaja Kishore, daughter of Sangeetha Kalanidhi T.K. Govinda Rao. Swathi also sings western music as an alto, in her school Choir, which will be performing at the Carnegie Hall, in New York this spring.

Keerthi Sundaramurthi (Violin)

Keerthi is learning violin from Dr. Saravanapriyan Sriraman, disciple of Sri Lalgudi GJR Krishnan. Keerthi participated in the Cleveland Tyagaraja Aradhana festival and was awarded 1st and 2nd prizes for senior category Violin. Keerthi has performed at various places and has accompanied several artists and school events in the Bay Area. Apart from Violin, Keerthi also learns carnatic vocal from Sri Ajay Namboodiri, disciple of Sri Neyveli Santhanagopalan.

Ajay Gopi (Mrudangam)

Ajay Gopi has been learning mridangam for past 5 years from his father Sri. Gopi Lakshminarayanan, disciple of Late Sri. Kumbakonam Narayanaswamy Iyer. Ajay also learns from Sri. Kallidaikurichi S. Sivakumar, disciple of Late Sri. Palghat Raghu. Ajay had is arangetram recently with Sri. Neyveli Santhanagopalan in the vocal. Ajay has been accompanying young talent in bay area regularly in organizations such as CCC, SR Fine arts, Lotus, etc. Ajay accompanied Chinmaya sisters in his Upanayanam concert last summer. Ajay also have accompanied few Grade A visiting artist from Chennai. Ajay has won many prizes in various competitions such as Cleveland Aradhana. Tambaram Music Club and OSAAT.

Ajay also learns Carnatic vocal at Sri Paduka Academy.Ajay is Sophomore at Irvington High

Sanjaysriram Garimella (Vocal)

Sanjaysriram Garimella is a sophomore at Monta Vista High School, and has been learningcarnatic vocal music from Smt. Shanthi Shriram for the past 7 years. Smt. Shanthi Shriram is the disciple of her mother and guru Smt. Lakshmi Sundaram, and the granddaughter SangeethaVidwan Sri Sathur A.G. Subramaniam, a great musician of yesteryears.

Sanjaysriram has participated and won prizes in various competitions, including the PapanasamSivan competition, OSAAT, and Naadanritya. He has performed in Carnatic Chamber Concerts as well as in many Bay Area festivals including SIFA and Badrikashrama . Sanjaysriram also participated in the Cleveland Thygaraja Aradhana in 2012. Apart from Carnatic vocal, Sanjaysriram is also learning Carnatic Flute from Guru Shri. Ashwin Krishnakumar. Sanjay also enjoys playing western flute in his High School’s Symphonic Band.

Keerthi Sundaramurthi (Violin)

Keerthi Sundaramurthy is a Junior at Washington High School. She has been learning violin from Sri Saravanapriyan Sriraman, disciple of Sri Lalgudi GJR Krishnan, for 5 years. Apart from Violin, she learns carnatic vocal from Sri Ajay Namboodiri, disciple of Sri NeyveliSanthanagopalan, over Skype.

She has participated in the Cleveland Tyagaraja Aradhana festival and was awarded 1st and 2nd prizes for senior category Violin. She has also won prizes in the Papanasam Sivan competition, and OSAAT. Keerthi has performed at various places like Lotus, Nandalala, and for several artists and school events in the Bay Area. Other than music, Keerthi plays Varsity tennis for her school team, and has been involved in Speech and Debate.

Arun Shriram (Mrudangam)

Arun Shriram is a sophomore at Harker School. For the past nine years, he has been learning Mridangam from his father and guru Shri. Shriram Brahmanandam. Shri Shriram Brahmanandam is a disciple of Shri Harihara Sharma, Shri C.V. Kuppuswami and Shri Kumbakonam Rajappa Iyer. Arun is the grandson of Lalgudi Smt. Brahmanandam, a renowned violinist.

Arun learns vocal music from his mother Smt. Shanthi Shriram. Arun received first prize in the sub-junior and junior thaniavarthanam competitions and second prize in the accompaniment and konnakol competitions in the Annual Cleveland Thyagaraja Aradhana conference. He also won first prize in the Papanasam Sivan vocal competition held in 2012 in the group category.

Arun has performed at various Bay Area festivals and venues like the prestigious San Francisco World Music Festival, SIFA, and Badarikashrama and has also been performing with the Trinity School of music while regularly accompanying junior artists.

Santosh Sivakumar (Vocal)

Santosh Sivakumar is an 8th grader at Kennedy middle school in Cupertino. He has learned carnatic music from Guru Smt. Hema Sista for 4 1/2 years. He competed and won many prizes at various venues Such as OSAAT, Papanasam Shivan, and Carnatic Idol. His other interests include competitive soccer, Bharatanatyam, and swimming.

Priyanka Chary (Veena)

Priyanka Chary started learning the veena at the age of six from her father, Sri Srikanth Chary, who is a disciple of the late music legend Lalgudi Shri G. Jayaraman. She has performed on television, and given performances in several Bay Area venues, such as the Pleasanton Youth Music Festival, Livermore Temple, LOTUS, SRFA and Bay Area Margazhi Utsavam. She has competed in several regional and national music competitions, like the Cleveland Thygaraja Aradhana and the Papanasam Sivan Competition, and won 1st place awards for krithi rendition, alapana and kalpana swarams. Priyanka is a member of the Carnatic Music Instrumental Ensemble (CMIE), and has performed at the Asia Pacific Music Festival as part of this group. In addition to pursuing her passion for the veena, Priyanka learns bharatanatyam from Smt. Nirupama Vaidhyanathan. Priyanka is a sophomore at Mission San Jose High School.

Amit Ranganathan (Mrudangam)

Amit Ranganathan has been learning mrudangam under the tutelage of Guru Sri Ravindra Bharathy Sridharan, Artistic Director of Nadhopasana Academy of Fine Arts for the past seven years. In addition to being an active performer in his Guru’s school’s programs, Amit has started accompanying students from other music schools in the junior concert segment. He also enjoys accompanying his sisters for home videos, community and Temple events.

Amit has won prizes in the junior and senior level mridangam competitions at Cleveland Thyagaraja Aradhana Festival and Papanasam Sivan Fine arts. He is part of the ‘Laya Vinyasam’ team put together by Sri Ravindra Bharathy, which has performed at Vivriti music festival and OSAAT, receiving excellent reviews. Amit has also learnt carnatic vocal music for nine years under the tutelage of Smt. Jayashree Varadarajan.

Amit's other interest includes basketball. He is a junior at Cupertino High School.
