Kanchan Kaushik (Vocal)
Kanchan Kaushik is a freshman at Monta Vista high school, Cupertino. She has been learning Carnatic vocal music for the past 9 years at Shri Paduka academy from her guru Shri. Hari Devanath.
Kanchan has done many solo concerts and performed at many bay-area fund raising events and festivals. She has also participated in ‘Carnatic music epic choir’ at Cleveland Thyagaraja Aaaradhana. She has participated and won many prizes in several solo and group music competitions.
Other than music, Kanchan has learned Bharata Natyam for 7 years. She is part of the western music choir at school. Painting is her hobby.
Veena Krishnan (Violin)
Veena Krishnan is a 9th grader at California Connections Academy. She has been learning Carnatic violin for the past 5 years. Her gurus are Smt. Sandhya Srinath from Vaadhya Vidhyaalayam and Sri. Ganaraj Karle from India. She learns Carnatic vocal from Kalaimamani Dr. R Suryaprakash and Sri. Aneesh V Bhat. She has been learning Bharatanatyam from Smt. Suganda Iyer and Hindustani vocal from Pandit Habib Khan. Veena learns Kanjira from Nerkunam Dr. S Sankar. Some of her interests are gardening and being outside.
Rishi Kodungallur (Mridangam)
Rishi Kodungallur is a disciple of Vid. Ravindrabharathy Sridharan of Nadhopasana Academy of Fine Arts, Cupertino, California. Rishi has been learning mridangam for the last 8 years. He is an 8th grader at Fallon Middle School, Dublin CA
Vaibhav Prakash (Vocal)
Vaibhav Prakash is a 10th grader at Dougherty valley high school in San Ramon. He has been learning Carnatic music for the past 10 years. He started learning with Smt. Latha Sriram and continued with Smt. Chandrika Pai and currently continuing his advanced training with Sri. Vijay Siva. Vaibhav is extremely passionate towards this art form and he has given many concerts here in Bay area and in India. He has participated in many Carnatic vocal competitions and has won prizes in multiple categories which includes first prize in RTP at the Cleveland Tyagaraja Aradhana. He is also learning Mridangam from Sri. Gopi Lakshminarayanan and accompanies for many music schools in Bay area. Apart from music Vaibhav loves Driving and cooking.
Prahlad Saravanapriyan (Violin)
Prahlad Saravanapriyan is a budding young Carnatic violinist and vocalist and is the son and disciple of Sri. Saravanapriyan Sriraman and has been learning Carnatic music from his father and Guru, since he was 3 years of age. Prahlad is receiving additional training and guidance from Lalgudi Sri. G.J.R. Krishnan since 2019. Prahlad performs regularly in the SFO Bay Area music community, in various concerts, programs, and productions featured and hosted by prime music organizations. He has participated and won several prizes in violin and vocal music competitions hosted by prestigious organizations both in USA/India. He continues to evolve and grow with his passion for music, performs violin duets together with his father/Guru, and has also started performing in the Chennai Margazhi season. Prahlad is currently a high school freshman (9th grade).
Sriram Subramanian (Mridangam)
Sriram Subramanian is currently learning mridangam from Sri. Trichur C. Narendran and Sri. Gopi Lakshminarayanan. Prior to that, he was a student of Sri. Sekhar Sarukkai. Sriram had his mridangam arangetram in August 2016, accompanying Sangeetha Rathnakara Vidwan Neyveli Shri. R. Santhanagopalan. He regularly accompanies for music schools as well as professional artists in the Bay Area. Sriram is a sophomore at UC Davis majoring in Computer Science.
